So, we've had a great week this week. We know all the credit goes to God and we Thank Him for it all!!!
Monday night our friends returned from a trip to The Gambia and I cooked them supper. Since the Gambia is on the coast, they have a lot more goods there. Like Dr. Pepper and Root Beer. Praise the Lord for these friends who brought us back some of each!! What a blessing!! Another blessing we received Monday was rain!!! It rained Monday night about 7:00ish, then when I woke up in the middle of the night it was raining again, and then when we woke up it was still sprinkling. It was such a nice day after the rain. Thank you Lord!! Tuesday, Arnett had to do some work in a partnering church's village, so he spent the day doing that. Zeke and I stayed home and rested. The doctors wanted him to take it easy for at least a week after being so sick last week. Well, of course one of the joys of rains are puddles. I had to do some laundry and couldn't keep Zeke in the house. Of course, he quickly made is way to the puddles. So much for resting!! :~) Here's a few pics...
Thursday, we were able to go out to D-village for the day. It was a great trip and we are very thankful that God gave us the opportunity to go back out there. It was perfect timing too. Our village mom and told our village dad Wednesday night, "I think Yacuba and Aminata (our African names) are dead!" He assured, "No, they are not dead!!" We're are very, very grateful that God provided us the opportunity to go and show them we really aren't dead.
So, it's been a good week. And we Praise the Father for providing for us!! Now, another picture of our adorable son but first a little explanation.. in the past few months we've been trying to get Zeke acclimated to the potty. Now, he's no where near being potty trained but we're slowly introducing the idea to him. This morning, I could tell he was using the bathroom, so I went and put him on the potty. He sat down and then motioned me out of the bathroom. The next time I looked in on him, this is what I saw....
Like Father, Like Son!!! He's reading a Farm Journal magazine!!
This definitely was the icing on the cake of a good week. Thanking God for all His blessings and for allowing us to laugh a little!!! Until next time...
